Niagara on the Lake - Things to do!

As promised we have put together a list of fun activities for the families attending Niagara on the Lake 2008. I have provided links to many of the attractions in the Niagara on the Lake area. Most of these are within walking distance of the Conference on Saturday. We will have lots of time on Saturday to organize anything that you might like to do on Sunday, or we can split up into groups. The only requirement is that you have fun!

Niagara Riding Stables - Niagara Riding Stables we'll help you to see nature the way it was meant to be seen, slowly, deliberately, all the while taking in all that is available here along the Niagara Escarpment.

Shaw Festival Theater - August Line-up

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours - Niagara's whitewater rapids have challenged explorers for over 300 years. Our specially designed Jet Boats offer an affordable fun way to reveal the history, scenery and incredible whitewater of the Niagara River. A real moving adventure! Several wet or dry departures daily. River Shop.

Sentineal Carriages - Explore the rich history, majestic homes and peaceful scenery the way it was intended, in a horse drawn carriage. Each carriage can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. Butterfly Conservatories This magical attraction features over 2,000 colourful tropical butterflies floating freely among lush, exotic blossoms and greenery. Paths wind through the rainforest setting, past a pond and waterfall and the Emergence window, where butterflies leave their pupae and prepare to take their first flight!

Ghost Tours- "Fort George was the headquarters for the British military in Niagara during the War of 1812. It saw active service, was bombarded and destroyed, rebuilt, and then left to fall into ruin after the war. The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake was not only turned into a battlefield during the war, but also put to the torch as the Americans retreated back to the States." A guaranteed recipe for ghostly stories.
